Plaintiff Alessandro De La Torre dropped a class-action complaint against LinkedIn that alleged the company used subscriber data to train its generative AI without consent.

De La Torre's Thursday notice dismissed “all claims asserted against Defendant LinkedIn Corporation in this action without prejudice.”

Filed Jan. 21, the complaint alleged that Microsoft, parent company of LinkedIn, disclosed private messages of customers to third parties without their knowledge, and the data became embedded within the AI systems (see 2501230010).
