Hawaii House Committee Approves Bill for Creating AI Council

A Hawaii House committee on Friday voted unanimously in favor of a bill that would establish an AI Advisory Council.

The House Economic Development Committee passed HB-1384. The measure would create the Hawaii Artificial Intelligence Advisory Council. The council would be required to deliver an AI policy action plan to the governor and legislature before December 2027.
