Wyo. House Passes Anti-Porn Bill with Private Right of Action

The House voted 59-1 for HB-43, which aims to keep kids younger than 18 away from porn and other material deemed harmful, which would provide a private right of action for a minor’s parents or guardians in case of a violation. ISPs would be exempted.
Many states are mulling legislation this year focused on protecting kids on certain websites (see 2501170053). Age-verification bills advanced recently in red states, including Utah, Arizona, Indiana and South Dakota (see 2501290015, 2501230039 and 2501220002).
