The initial version of SB-546, which appears to be based on Virginia’s privacy law, included a Jan. 1 effective date. Oklahoma’s Senate Technology Committee plans to weigh the privacy bill and a separate Howard bill on data breach notification (SB-626) at a hearing Thursday.
