The department will eliminate its Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee, Cyber Investigations Advisory Board and Artificial Intelligence Safety and Security Board as a consequence of Executive Order 14217, titled “Commencing the Reduction of the Federal Bureaucracy.” The boards include experts from the private, academic and non-profit sectors.

Terminating the boards is “in the best interest” of DHS, the department determined after consulting with the DHS committee management officer, the committee management secretariat and the General Services Administration, the department said.
