Ky. Legislature Passes Amendment to Comprehensive Privacy Law
A healthcare tweak to Kentucky’s comprehensive privacy law passed the legislature. Gov. Andy Beshear (D) will consider the bill next.

Kentucky senators voted 38-0 Wednesday for HB-473, which would update the law by fleshing out an exemption for data subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (see 2503060030). The House passed the bill 96-0 on Feb. 25.
