Law Firm Preparing Claims Over Pa. School System Data Breach

Attorneys are preparing a potential lawsuit against the Pennsylvania State Education Association for a data breach that impacted half a million educational staff, in July 2024.

Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe is seeking plaintiffs who may have had their personal data compromised, including date of birth, social security numbers, account numbers, credit card numbers, taxpayer information, usernames, passwords and medical information.

The law firm said the PSEA didn’t disclose the breach until eight months after it occurred, which may have violated state and federal laws.
