Wisconsin Assembly Passes Anti-Porn Age-Verification Bill
The Wisconsin Assembly voted 69-22 Thursday in favor of an age-verification bill (AB-105) aimed at keeping kids off of porn websites. One of many kids online safety bills advancing across numerous states this year (see 2503060022), the measure goes next to the Senate.

AB-105 would prohibit businesses from “knowingly and intentionally publishing or distributing material harmful to minors” younger than 18 “on a website that contains a substantial portion of such material, unless the business entity performs a reasonable age verification method to verify the age of individuals attempting to access the website,” said a bill analysis.
