House Delivering on Government Efficiency Subcommittee ranking member Melanie Stansbury, D-N.M., led Democrats in launching the resolution of inquiry. “The American people demand to know why Elon Musk and DOGE are hacking our private and sensitive data and what they are doing with it,” she said. “This includes Social Security, IRS, Treasury, and other highly sensitive data.”

The House Oversight Committee has 14 legislative days to report the resolution to the House or it becomes “privileged on the House floor,” her office said.
