Attorneys general from California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, New Jersey and Oregon, as well as the California Privacy Protection Agency, launched the Consortium of Privacy Regulators. They signed a memorandum of understanding “outlining the group's goals, including facilitating discussions of privacy law developments and shared priorities, with a focus on consumer protection across jurisdictions,” said California.

The announcement “marks a significant step toward more unified privacy enforcement in the U.S. and signals increased scrutiny (and cooperation) across state lines,” said Davis Wright Tremaine attorney Jevan Huston.
