"Upon learning of this issue, we immediately worked to contain the threat and secure our network environment" with an investigation, Nth Degree said. On March 24, the company found that the unauthorized parties gained access to the network on or around Dec. 12 and/or Dec. 20, 2024, though the specific types of personal information accessed were redacted in the letter.
"We have no reason to believe that your information has been or will be used to commit financial fraud or identity theft as a result of this incident," Nth Degree said, though it also offered complimentary credit and identity theft monitoring for the next 12 months for affected individuals. "We are committed to maintaining the privacy and security of the personal information in our possession and have taken many precautions to safeguard it. We continually evaluate and modify our practices and internal controls to enhance the security and privacy of your personal information and will continue to do so following this incident."
The Maine AG Office report said the breach was reported by Sean Bowen, counsel to Nth Degree, which is based in Georgia.
