The complaints about the Swedish companies came from people in other European countries, the DPA said.

The watchdog reprimanded Warner Music AB for not providing sufficient information about people's right to withdraw consent. It said Trav and Gallop used misleading designs in its cookie banner, making it difficult for visitors to give informed, voluntary consent. Aller Media AB was reprimanded for processing a complainant's personal data without a legal basis.

Cookie banners should offer visitors clear information and make it as easy to give consent as to withdraw it later, the watchdog noted.
