Lawyers for Victims of SogoTrade Data Breach Considering Options

A phishing email with malicious software compromised four email accounts in SogoTrade's network, which the company discovered on March 18, according to a release from the class action law firm. The unauthorized access happened between May 8 and May 22, 2024, it added. Names, financial account numbers, social security numbers and tax identification numbers are among the types of personal information believed to have been leaked through the compromised files.
The firm is investigating "to seek legal remedies for individuals whose sensitive personal data may have been compromised" by the data breach.
