Danish DPA Launches Cybersecurity Initiatives to Prevent Hacking
The Danish Data Protection Agency said on Wednesday it has added initiatives aimed at preventing hacking and other security breaches to its toolkit.

The watchdog said the measures were added against a backdrop of an increase in hacking.
There's nothing revolutionary in the new measures, but many breaches the DPA has seen could have been avoided by using them, it said. The initiatives relate to security management and maintenance of software, and network segmentation.
The DPA also said it's seen an increase in breaches related to the Internet of Things, where, for example, software in surveillance cameras appears not to have been handled with the attention to IT security that other equipment receives.
