Louisiana Legislature Approves App Store Age-Verification Bill

“Developers and covered application store providers shall each be separately responsible for any data each chose to rely on in their independent judgment for compliance with age verification requirements of law,” says one addition to the bill from the conference report.
The bill divided the tech industry at a May 28 hearing (see 2505290034). Similar bills became law this year in Texas (see 2505270048) and Utah (see 2503270047).
