EC Template for GPAI Model Developers Bolsters Knowledge of Training Data

It published a template to help model developers summarize information they've used for training as part of a broader initiative linked to the EU rules on general-purpose AI models that kick in Aug. 2 (see 2507180001).
The public summaries will give a comprehensive overview of the data used to train models, list the main data collections and explain other sources used, the EC said. The template will also help parties with legitimate interests, such as copyright holders, exercise their rights under EU law, it added.
