More California Delete Act Comments Due Aug. 18

The California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) seeks comments by Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. PT on revised draft rules for implementing a data-deletion mechanism under the California Delete Act, the agency said in a notice Thursday.

At a meeting last week, the CPPA Board unanimously decided to put out the revised text for comment (see 2507250017). Also, CPPA Executive Director Tom Kemp said the agency aims to make its upcoming Delete Request and Opt-Out Platform (DROP) a model that other states could adopt (see 2507240070).
