Privacy Daily provides accurate coverage of newsworthy developments in data protection legislation, regulation, litigation, and enforcement for privacy professionals responsible for ensuring effective organizational data privacy compliance.
The guide is intended for privacy protection officers, legal advisors, information security professionals and information management staff in public and privacy organizations, the PPA said.
The guide includes practical examples to help organizations comply with legal requirements, including the appointment of data protection officers and notification to the watchdog of large databases containing particularly sensitive information, the PPA said.
The authority also updated some of its documents to align with Amendment 13's new provisions and revised legal definitions. "For the avoidance of doubt," it added, "all documents on the authority's website are valid and binding, even if they have not yet been reviewed or updated."
