The DPA said it issued compliance notices to several organizations and published their names in major newspapers Saturday. The sweep focused on the insurance, pension, gaming, insurance broker and banking sectors, it said.
The businesses have 21 days to provide evidence that, among other things, they have filed compliance audit returns for 2024, appointed data protection officers and implemented technical and organizational data protection measures. Failure to comply with the notices could lead to enforcement actions, the watchdog said.
