Bedoya worked at the FTC from May 2022 until his resignation in June, months after fighting a legal battle with President Donald Trump, who fired him and fellow Commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter in March (see 2506100030).
Bryn McDonough is joining TechNet as counsel and director of federal policy and government relations, the organization announced Wednesday. She previously served in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, including in roles such as chief of staff in the Office of the Deputy Secretary and deputy general counsel.
Andrew Wood was named TechNet's executive director for Colorado and the central U.S. region, the association of tech CEOs and senior executives announced Tuesday. Wood previously worked as a lobbyist and general counsel for contract lobbying firm Colorado Legislative Strategies. Before that, he served as policy director for the Colorado House Majority Office.

Cari Benn has taken over as chief privacy officer at Microsoft, she announced on LinkedIn Friday. She previously served as associate general counsel-privacy, accessibility and regulatory affairs. Former Microsoft chief privacy officer Julie Brill stepped down at the end of May to launch a consultancy (see 2505300023). In an interview with Privacy Daily last April (see 2504300026), Benn supported regulatory efforts to simplify compliance with privacy laws globally amid what she called a "regulatory tsunami."
