Brill said she will launch a consultancy in September with Microsoft as her first client. Before her time at Microsoft, Brill was a commissioner at the FTC, and later was part of the privacy and cybersecurity practice at Hogan Lovells.
Privacy compliance firm SafeGuard named veteran lawyer Andy Hepburn as general counsel and chief legal officer, the company said Friday. Wayne Matus, SafeGuard’s co-founder and general counsel, becomes data protection officer and general counsel emeritus. Hepburn’s resume includes senior legal positions at Georgia-Pacific and Sony Mobile.
