Meta said it’s expanding its Federation Platform and Privacy Waves, which were launched to help engineers achieve compliance across jurisdictions. Internal surveys have shown positive reviews for Privacy Waves over ad-hoc compliance response, the company said.

“We estimate that the program has saved hundreds of thousands of engineering hours by enhancing strategy, tooling, and task quality,” it added. “The success of this approach in the privacy domain has encouraged its expansion into other domains such as security, accessibility and our broader compliance efforts.”
